Taking a Leap into Uncharted Territory – Rental Investment

Derek and I recently decided to try our hand at property management. Mostly because the house (double-wide trailer) was sitting on an unbelievable lot 5 minutes from our house… Which means a lot since we live out in the middle of nowhere.

The home needed some work, although, the inside was in pretty good condition, it was extremely dated. The exterior is why it was so cheap… Which is something that will still need done in the future, but that’s for another *warmer* day, or season.

This home was so fun to update. And soooo easy. The day we closed, I bought 10 gallons of paint and went to town. It took a little over 2 months (with two Holiday vacations in between) and we were finished!

Nothing that a little (a LOT) of paint can’t fix!!! If you haven’t installed Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring, you’re missing out! This stuff is so easy to cut and throw in, and its so durable! We went with this so our future tenant could have dogs and we don’t have to worry about cleaning/replacing carpets down the road. I even learned how to use a table saw, all by myself.💪🏼

We ended up getting this rented before we were even finished with the floor! Which is why there isn’t stellar after pictures, she was moving in as we were moving our tools out!
